Responsibilities
- Program Administrator
- Lead and manage all school library programs and activities.
- Advocate effective information use to support students’ academic and future success.
- Maintain circulation, usage records, and library statistics.
- Supervise library facilities and ensure a conducive learning environment.
- Prepare improvement proposals and submit monthly reports to the School Principal.
- Communicate regularly with students and staff regarding library programs and updates.
- Conduct annual surveys to evaluate and enhance library services.
- Information Specialist
- Manage print, digital, and electronic information resources.
- Maintain accurate cataloguing, inventory, and classification of library materials.
- Evaluate collections based on curriculum needs and quality standards.
- Assist students and teachers in locating, interpreting, and utilizing information resources.
- Promote ethical and effective use of information and instructional technology.
- Stay updated with current literature, technology, and educational resources.
- Instructional Partner
- Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum and learning outcomes.
- Recommend supplementary learning materials across subject areas.
- Provide orientation programs and reference services for students and staff.
- Maintain professional library references and selection resources.
- Support curriculum development through library services and resources.
- Library Operations & Events
- Plan and conduct library orientations, reading programs, and book fairs.
- Develop and maintain media and technology collections.
- Coordinate with external libraries and agencies for resource sharing.
- Inspect, maintain, repair, or replace library materials when necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality on all school-related matters.
- Recommend and implement library policies and services.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by school management.
Qualifications
- Female
- 40 years old and below
- Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science, Information Science, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience as a School Librarian
- Knowledgeable in library management systems and digital information resources
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Compensation and Benefits
- Gross Salary: AED 2,000 + AED 1,000 per month
