Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, projectors, smart boards, CCTV systems, and other IT equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot hardware issues, and replace faulty components when required.
- Provide first-line IT support to teachers, administrative staff, and students, resolving helpdesk requests promptly.
- Assist with login issues, printing concerns, device connectivity, and classroom technology problems.
- Ensure all classroom IT and audiovisual equipment are operational before school hours and support school events and examinations.
- Assist in maintaining LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity and troubleshoot basic network and internet issues.
- Support installation, configuration, and updating of operating systems, applications, antivirus, and security software.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor the issuance, movement, and condition of IT assets.
- Coordinate with external IT vendors for equipment repairs, servicing, and scheduled maintenance.
- Maintain technical documentation, follow school IT policies and data protection standards, and perform additional IT support duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Male, with 1–3 years of experience in IT support or a similar technical role.
- Prior experience in a school setting is an added advantage.
- Strong proficiency in computer hardware troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including routers, switches, cabling, and Wi-Fi.
- Ability to manage web platforms for Academics.
- Exposure to software development (PHP Laravel, JavaScript, HTML) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and common IT peripherals such as printers, scanners, smart boards, and AV systems.
- Basic knowledge of CCTV systems is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
