Our client in Lifelinks International Resources, Inc., a DMW-accredited recruitment agency from the Philippines, is seeking IT Assistant for deployment to the United Arab Emirates. The role is responsible for supporting the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the school’s IT hardware and related systems to ensure smooth technology operations. It supports teaching, learning, and administrative activities while ensuring compliance with school policies and KHDA regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities


  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, projectors, smart boards, CCTV systems, and other IT equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot hardware issues, and replace faulty components when required.
  • Provide first-line IT support to teachers, administrative staff, and students, resolving helpdesk requests promptly.
  • Assist with login issues, printing concerns, device connectivity, and classroom technology problems.
  • Ensure all classroom IT and audiovisual equipment are operational before school hours and support school events and examinations.
  • Assist in maintaining LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity and troubleshoot basic network and internet issues.
  • Support installation, configuration, and updating of operating systems, applications, antivirus, and security software.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor the issuance, movement, and condition of IT assets.
  • Coordinate with external IT vendors for equipment repairs, servicing, and scheduled maintenance.
  • Maintain technical documentation, follow school IT policies and data protection standards, and perform additional IT support duties assigned by management.

Qualifications


  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Male, with 1–3 years of experience in IT support or a similar technical role.
  • Prior experience in a school setting is an added advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in computer hardware troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including routers, switches, cabling, and Wi-Fi.
  • Ability to manage web platforms for Academics.
  • Exposure to software development (PHP Laravel, JavaScript, HTML) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and common IT peripherals such as printers, scanners, smart boards, and AV systems.
  • Basic knowledge of CCTV systems is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

  • Gross Salary: AED 2,000 + AED 1,000 per month
